Vintage OK GO.  This just made my night.

So many responses!

There were so many responses to my last post that I’ve hardly had time to deal with all of them!  I’ll post some things up shortly, but in the mean time since you were all so wonderful, I’ve decided to just make a public coupon code for 10% off your next order.

Just use the code KOKD on checkout.

Thanks for the support guys!

Catfish takes another hit!

Funny how two days after someone emails the Marvel legal department, Catfish Latex is no longer selling Spider Man catsuits on Etsy.

Score one for the good guys. ;)

This is the exact mindset of many scam retailers in the fetish market.

"I’m just trying to earn a living stealing from you! Why do you have to be such a jerk and tell people that I’m a crook?"

It always makes me laugh.

Unless Rihanna then jumped in a pool, I would call this borrowing more than outright stealing.

EBAY SELLERS: ~SIGH~

This is the product image that replaced the image a seller on ebay stole from the Kink Engineering online store a while back.  Nice stuff?

You know… I don’t think we really have to warn you about a seller who promotes THIS product as “Super Springy latex Spandex hood! Fetish/sissy/corset/sexy”

Out of 9 words in the product description, only 3 are even arguably true!

  • Super: It’s not quite the least super thing I’ve ever seen. But I’ve seen some horrible things in my days.
  • Springy: I’m not sure how “Springy” even works in the context of a hood.  Is that describing the scent, or the ability to reflect falling objects?
  • Latex: Look, it can’t be latex if it’s also made of…
  • Spandex: It does seem to be fabric.  So that’s plausible. Ok… finally, 4 words in we get some Truth!
  • Hood: Check, that seems to be a hood.  Well done.
  • Fetish: Well… everything is a fetish to someone, so that’s like a free space.
  • Sissy: Not sure how the lady in that hood is sissified…
  • Corset: Unless you are about to lace that face opening closed that’s a big nope!
  • Sexy: I can’t tell really… maybe if the photo was in focus.

So, I’m not going to bother telling you not to shop from this guy.   If you would have considered shopping from him, you need to do some serious thinking about the term "caveat emptor"

My general advice.  If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.  Do some digging and see if there are good or bad reviews on a seller before you spend your hard earned cash on anything.

My advice to the seller: Consider “Cheap but functional spandex open faced hood” as a product description.  Sure, it’s less key words… but it’s honest.  In the long run, people LIKE honesty.
