Audacity of Dope
“Hello I have done nothing wrong. - wntic”
Response to my Ebay message to a fraudulent ebay seller ripping off photos from my site. Funny… he’s already removed the offending photo (but is claiming innocence!).
Well… I’ll be watching his site VERY carefully and will be re-reporting him until the behavior stops or Ebay takes down his store. I have a zero...

HW Designs confirmed that these guys aren’t selling any of their goods.
In other news, regularly-scheduled blogging should resume in November. After a great trip this summer, we’re currently playing catch up.

READER SUBMISSION AND RESPONSE FROM KNOCKOFF KNOCKDOWN:
Greetings,
I would say now that the latex industry is now being taken over by china junk latex it’s a shame that this now happening for me it’s Libidex, Demask are the two for me.

Yet More Slickdot Atrocities (knockoffs)
ANOTHER READER SUBMISSION. (Thanks Rubberinchen!)
Unfortunately I am running to catch a flight to Fetishcon today, so no time to actually dig up the photos and post them right here. But it makes for a pretty good click through extravaganza of copying!
Get your mouse clicking finger ready… there’s some pretty bad knockoffs in here.
I would die of embarrasment to wear these out to...

– “What Competition?” , by Jonathan Fields
This is some good advice for those of us in the latex design industry who are a getting a little nervous about the proliferation of cheap knock-off factories. Jonathan Fields, one of my favourite authors on entrepreneurship, tells us not to worry so much...

Shades of Greydanus
On May 6th, 2011 the Associate Press released a statement saying “The Stockroom Inc. sued Abigail Greydanus in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, claiming she is using some of its designs and disrupted its business relationship with Perry.” They finish by adding “The company is seeking an injunction blocking Greydanus from selling latex clothing and costumes, claiming...

Some extra things you’ll find there (adding more all the time)

Libidex Newsletter Mention
We are really excited to see Knockoff Knockdown get mentioned in the latest Libidex newsletter. They gave us a shout out for our very successful review/destruction of www.latexclothingmanufacturer.com
It was our pleasure to expose yet another company ripping off photos and designs from Radical Rubber and Libidex (as well as many others!)
Who’s next? I don’t know, but if I was a...

Hawthorne effect →
Wait… so the Hawthorne Effect means that anyone that is being watched tends to behave better? Wow… that’ll really suck for the knockoff companies, and knockoff resellers that we’re currently watching. They sure do have a LOT to improve upon.

The Hawthorne effect is a form of reactivity whereby subjects improve or modify an aspect of their behavior...

Miss Rubber World just wrote a great little add on to an earlier article we wrote about spicesforlove.com and their fetish scam ways. Thanks to those online who added extra thoughts/spin/information to our original thoughts on google spamming and how to combat that (In particular “Wolf-Father” and “Ltx4Jay” with assist from the NY Times)

hookersorcake asked: Hey there - Jade Bos of Hookers or Cake here. I run a little blog that makes fun of our wonderful culture. I've received some spam about someone giving away a free macbook air and I thought it would be funny to lampoon it with someone giving away a giant dildo or something. SO I copy pasted their words and looked for an interesting sextoy image. I saw the zombie dildo and figured that would...

Numbers Game (Fetish/Sex-Toy companies Beware)
This one is not about Latex Designers trying to pull a fast one, but something related.
SHORT VERSION: If you run a sexuality related company and are contacted by someone promising reviews, soliciting advertising or asking for products to go out on a Paid Kindle Amazon Blog… check your facts very closely. It is likely a scam, or at least not as good as it looks.
Long Version:
We all get...

Please note the line “Almost of the pictures of our catalogues are copied from other websites. We do not have copyrites for them”
Classy! So those items they have built for customers they are putting on models, photographing and updating their catalogue and those they have not YET built they just use photos direct from Pretty Pervy, Libidex, Etc.
Admission of Guilt!
